At the other place I lived my then boyfriend came home to 3 rooms filled with blood and feather. He called and left me a voice mail on my cell telling me he had only one thing to say. Ick, ick, ick. I was so glad I wasn't home to have to clean it up. I'd say with that big of a bird you have a real hunter there and he truly loved you to catch something so big! I love this story. I once found a crow skeleton and feathers under my bed when I moved it.
